Soccer Tournament - a report by Caitlin

On Tuesday at English Park there was a sport extension soccer tournament.  Some other year 3 and 4’s from Yaldhurst School played too.  My group which was Niamh M, Niamh B, Mia and me, won all our games.  It was great that we had Mia, she was one of the best players.

I was so relieved that we weren’t playing the boys.  The last team we played could kick the ball really hard.

Everyone was tired and sweaty when we finished.

At the very end of the tournament Tim and Emily from Mainland Football surprised us by giving everyone prizes.  We got an Olympic Games football draw poster and a player postcard.  Only the St Albans girls got a flash white soccer ball and everyone else got a black ball with orange patches.

I really hope we have some more fun tournaments.
