An Action Packed Assembly

Today we hosted assembly in Room 17. The assembly began with a haka powhiri which we are getting stronger at - I'll be looking for someone else to lead it soon.

Our hosts today were Jesse and Bella S and they did a great job of writing their script and delivering it too! I think the other classes were impressed and interested in our Lorax art and the newspaper faces. We rocked our way through Individuality which was fun.

The cross country tips were well presented - good on you children for having a go at this drama exercise.

But wait... there was more. A group did a presentation from the new Mo Willems Pigeon book from New York. We're looking forward to hot seat -ing this book!

These children received the certificates today - well done - keep up the great work.

In the "Last but not least" category we're happy to announce that Room 17 was awarded the Heather Trophy this week - hooray. It's good that the classroom was looking so good when Heather came to fix up our lights this morning! All that hard work keeping our environment clean and tidy is paying off.
Sunshine and Bubbles will be pleased to have their minders back again.
